2019 ITG on Economics Meeting

The annual ITG on Economics Meeting was held in Unicamp, Brazil.

The ITG members discussed a lot of topics dedicated to the development of cooperation, including joint research projects, double degree master’s programmes, students and professors mobility and many other issues. One of the central topics was Russian presidency in BRICS 2020.

It was also decided to make the Winter (Summer) school held in Unicamp 2019 a constant part of ITG work and to organise the second one in Moscow 2020, making it thematic (in correspondence with special issue topic: Globalization. Development. Inequality).

There were also many other important decisions, as to courage participation in national/university conferences through special sessions related to the BRICS research agenda i.e. conference "Migration Bridges in Eurasia (2008-2019)" in MGIMO in December 2019 and XXI April Conference in HSE in April 2020 and to explore wider mechanisms for the inclusion of non-member Universities into the abovementioned ITG research programme without becoming formal members of NU BRICS.
